Swedish Language classes for adults are available at different levels. Our courses are 10-13 weeks and classes are held once per week for a two-hour session at the Scandinavian Community Centre in Burnaby. We aim to keep class sizes small, with 8-12 people per class.

Classes focus on how to speak and understand the Swedish language. We also explore Swedish traditions, customs and culture.

Classes are a great way to get to know people in your community - we have great discussions while learning about past and present day Sweden!

The course fee ranges from $144 - $216, depending on course length.

You will also need to purchase a membership in the Swedish Cultural Society ($25 single or $30 family membership), as the language class program is part of the Swedish Cultural Society.

We use Rivstart A1+A2 books, which you can purchase from us for $95 (textbook + exercise book). These books will take you through your first two years of Swedish Courses with us.

We receive high interest in the classes and the spots fill up on a first come first served basis.
